I have used adjectives and a simile to make my writing more interesting.  I need to improve using more interesting words in my writing..

Term 2 Week 2 Diary Post

Dear Diary,

Last week we did foundation skills.  We were all excited to choose the activity we wanted.  Some of the class chose basic facts for Friday like me.   We did the activity and each day we worked hard.  After that,  Mrs Melville ran a workshop at school and we did a basic facts one and it was new on the first day of the term.    
I felt I worked hard and it helped me.
