I have been learning to write an antonym diamante poem.An antonym mares the opposite.  My poem is about summer Christmas and winter Christmas.  I found this hard because I need to use verbs.  My next is to need to use verbs in the right order

We read a myth about how Maori believe the world began.  It was called In The Beginning.  I've learning about some of the Maori  Guardian's they nice and bad personally.  I chose to draw Tu and it came out very awesome I was proud of it.  I wrote some adjectives to describe the Guardian it was easy because we had some in our books.

Explanation Writing

I been learning to write simple explanation. This is the process I used to write I used to write my explanation with my buddy.First we did a bran storm using Popplet to find information. Then we used a framework to help us  draft our explanation.I learnt that you don't copy of someone's work but you can do put in you'er are aloud to put it in to your own words.I found this easy because me and my buddy was working hard and we took turns reading.My next step is to do some more writing because it my buddy was tacking a lot so I forgot.

I have been learning to use known multiplication facts to solve harder problems by splitting numbers.  I found this easy because it had question I really know my basic facts because I practices a lot at home.  My next step is to learn anther strategy .

I have been learning to find information by skimming and scanning. I used keywords to help me find Information then I summonsed the information I found.The most interesting thing I learnt was the seven stars How they got up the sky but the 8 brothers was in love they got skinny but 1 brother was talking about how skinny how they are and 1 of the brother was tacking the 7 sisters to the god of the stars he loved how and they are shinny and they shiny 1 a year and those 7 stars really wanted get out of the stars.My next step is to learn to summarise the main events in the text.

Bike Skills 2016

Over a few weeks we did bike skills and 8 of us almost know how to ride a bike and we had a race to see who is the quickest person in this group and the boys won the race because our friend was going and his name is Zeaheer and we all didn't know how to ride bike we all was doing scooting in first and the last bike skills was really cool because the we all got certificate and bike pass port and our teacher was tacking photos of us in the class with our pass ports and our certificate.

I have been learning to find and summarise information. I found this easy  because the book had all different staff.  Something I learnt found interesting was the pictures because it has some awesome picture. My next step is to get more ideas by using keywords on the internet.

Term 2 Week 2 Diary Post

Dear Diary,

Last week we did foundation skills.  We were all excited to choose the activity we wanted.  Some of the class chose basic facts for Friday like me.   We did the activity and each day we worked hard.  After that,  Mrs Melville ran a workshop at school and we did a basic facts one and it was new on the first day of the term.    
I felt I worked hard and it helped me.

My Pepeha Art

We have been learning what a pepeha is. A pepeha is a way of introducing yourself in Maori.It shows my maunga [mountain],awa[river]and learing pathway.   I enjoyed this because I like colouring and I am proud of my artwork.
